Access to the files directory
Path in CC5: System settings - Access control - User groups
You can give users access to the file explorer, the shared directory and a private directory. The file directory contains all the files stored in the system, a private directory and advanced search and filtering options. The section also provides access to an email inbox.
To give access, go to System settings - Access control, select the User groups tab and open the user group that shall get access. Now, open the Access control tab and click Files in the left-hand menu. Click the boxes next to the permissions you wish to grant:

Storage browser: Gives access to the system directory including Document search. Note that only files for product areas a user has access to are displayed. User without access to .e.g contracts won't see contract files either. Read more about the system directory here.

Shared directory: Gives access to the "Shared directory" folder under Files (root directory) where you can share files with other users that also have access to the shared directory. In addition, you receive access to a folder for your personal files (My files). Read more here.

Inbox: Gives access to the mailbox of Complete Control. Read also here. If you give access to the inbox, ensure to also fine-tune notifications and set conditions for incoming emails under System settings - General. Read more here.

Company inbox: It's possible to define a main mailbox for each company (if you have several company instances in your database). And you can give e.g. company administrators access to this mailbox. Fine-tune access under System settings - General. Read more here.
