This section contains all files: Attachments, e-mails and more. Use Search to find any file or directory.
Note!
The directories you see depend on your access rights and the database structure. Don't do any changes to other directories than My files and Shared files.

The Root Directory is a system directory which cannot be edited. It contains usually a folder for each of the companies registered in the database with all related people, assets and contracts including added files. In addition, there are some additional folders for file storage: a directory for private files (My files) and a directory for sharing files with other people in Complete Control (Shared files).
Note!
The directories you see depend on your access rights and the database structure. Don't do any changes to other directories than My files and Shared files. And don't upload files directly to the directories for e.g. contracts or persons. Do this directly on the cards (under Attachments).
Clicking the menu in a directory allows you a zipped Download directory including all files.

These two directories can be used freely: You can, for example, change names, move folders, delete and create folders and upload or move files.
-
Shared files can be used as a common document and file sharing area for storing documents that are not necessarily associated with a contract, asset or person in the solution. For example, the folder structure can be set up to reflect a shared area on a server in the company.
-
My files also gives all users with access to files their own “private” area. The structure and content of this folder will not be visible to other users or system administrators.

Folders for persons, assets and contracts also contain their linked files. You will find in this section also all other files such as e-mails or manually uploaded files.
-
Upload files: Use the
menu in the top of the window to upload a file into the open folder.
-
Create contract: You can create contracts directly from PDF files: Select Create contract in the
menu next to the file. This opens the Contract Card together with the PDF file. A machine reading engine will detect relevant information in the PDF and come with suggestions for entries on the contract card. For example, it will suggest the title, the type of contract, the category, dates and more.
-
Digital Signing: You can create and monitor digital signing requests of PDF files. The icon next to the PDF displays the current status for each created request. And to view a signed document, hover with the mouse button over the icon and click the document title. This opens the Digital Signature card with the attached document (with signature once the request is completed) and all relevant information. To create a new digital signing request, click the
-menu next to this file and select Sign file.
This functionality is only available via the optional module Digital Signing. Read more under Digital Signing.
