How to link contracts and assets

If two or more contract have a natural relationship, it is possible to link them by adding related contracts. An example for a relation between two contracts could be combined newspaper contracts. An example for a relation between contract and asset could be an office lease with related equipment.

Link two contracts

Click Add, search for the desired contract, check off one or more entries, and select Use selected. In the display screen for an contracts, the relationship(s) will appear in a list under the heading Related assets. Here you can select the column headings and order under the Columns menu to the right of the list. See more about column selection under Contract list.

Link a contract and an asset

If an asset is related to a contract, the procedure is the same as described for a relationship between two assets. Examples of relationships may be a car with its associated fuel card, toll transponder, insurance and service contract.
